Privacy Policy

MaliceTV does not collect, store, transmit or sell your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no tracking and no analytics. Everything you configure stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. MaliceTV has no servers that receive your data, no user accounts and no advertising or analytics SDKs. We cannot see what you watch, play, cook or listen to.

What stays on your device

The app saves the following locally, in Android's private app storage, and never sends it anywhere:

• API keys you enter (for example TMDB, or a debrid service such as TorBox)
• Add-on and source lists you import
• Profiles, watchlist, continue-watching progress and app settings
• Saved recipes, grocery list and fridge items
• Game save data, per-game settings, and any games or music you cache for offline use

Uninstalling MaliceTV removes all of it. Nothing is backed up to us, because there is no "us" to back it up to.

Services the app talks to

MaliceTV makes requests directly from your device to the services below. We do not proxy, log or intercept these requests. Each service has its own privacy policy governing what it receives (which will include your IP address, as with any internet request):

• TMDB — film and TV artwork, titles and descriptions, using a key you provide.
• TheMealDB — recipe data and images for the Food section.
• Radio-Browser — the free internet-radio station directory.
• Netlify — hosting for our own games and music catalogs, and this website.
• Any add-ons, source lists or debrid services you choose to add. These are supplied by you, are not affiliated with MaliceTV, and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Our own content

MaliceTV includes a small amount of content we made ourselves: original games (such as The Pirate Voyage) in the Games section, and original music in the Music section. These are hosted by us and load automatically. Playing them sends no information about you beyond the ordinary web request needed to fetch the file, and you may optionally download them to your device for offline use.

Bring your own sources

Apart from our own content above, MaliceTV ships empty: it includes no film or TV catalog, no channels and no media sources. Any add-on, source list or debrid service is added by you, at your discretion, and what you choose to connect is your responsibility and subject to the laws where you live.

Local network setup page

To save you typing long links on a TV remote, the Add-ons screen can start a small web page on your local network so you can paste text or upload a file from a phone or computer. It runs only while that screen is open, is reachable only from your own network, and requires a random PIN shown on your TV. It sends nothing to the internet.

Children

MaliceTV is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Permissions

The app requests internet access (to reach the services above), network state, storage access for your own media and downloads, and notification permission so downloads can show progress. None of these are used to gather information about you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
